Experience for international cooperation
BAMTRI has made active contacts and technical exchanges with foreign countries. Up to now£¬ relationships based on technical exchanges and economic cooperation have been established with more than 40 nations and areas including USA, Russia, Germany, France etc. The international cooperation has made great contribution to improve the manufacturing technology as well as the production management of BAMTRI.
1.Cooperation with France
(1)Cooperation with Forest-line Company
BAMTRI began the cooperation with Forest-line Company of France in 1980. So far, nearly one hundred large CNC gantry type milling machines and CNC machining centers have been cooperatively produced by BAMTRI and Forest-line Company including multi-axis CNC gantry type milling machine, 3-axis double-spindle high speed CNC gantry type milling machine, and 5-axis high speed CNC gantry type milling machine, which are widely used in the aviation industry and other industries.
(2)Cooperation with ACB Company
BAMTRI has started the cooperation with ACB Company of France since 2002. And the cooperation focuses on the field of equipment for SPF/DB, hot forming.
2.Cooperation with Russia
Since the foundation of BAMTRI, BAMTRI has established the cooperation relationship with a number of Russian institutes and universities in many fields. Especially since 1990, BAMTRI has developed the cooperation with NIAT, ILPH, VIAM, AVITI in the fields of blade high speed machining technology, laser drilling technology, high frequency micro-inspection technology, ion implantation etc.
3.Cooperation with UK
(1)Cooperation with TWI
BAMTRI has been one of the industry members of TWI since 1996. In 2002, the two sides signed a license agreement on FSW patent, in which TWI granted BAMTRI a non-exclusive license on FSW patent and another right to issue non-exclusive sub license to any other organizations in China. The communication between the two sides has become much closer since the year of 2005, especially for the technical exchange. And in 2006, the establishment of the China Office of TWI in BAMTRI was the signal to begin the new partnership between the two institutes.
(2)Cooperation with Airbus UK Limited
In July, 2006, the delegation of Airbus visited BAMTRI and the two sides exchanged and discussed the proposals of the cooperation in the fields of EB Welding, FSW, resin and fasteners. In November, 2006, the delegation of Airbus visited BAMTRI again and made a further discussion with BAMTRI on contract research framework agreement.
4.Cooperation with Germany
Cooperation with DLR
In Nov.2004, experts from DLR were invited to BAMTRI for the communication on composite material technology.
In Aug.2005, several technical personnel from BAMTRI were trained on TBC technology in DLR.
In Oct.2006, experts from the material institute of DLR visited BAMTRI for the technical exchange on EB-PVD.
In Nov.2006, the director of Structural Mechanics Department of DLR visited BAMTRI to develop the cooperation of CAE-DLR program with BAMTRI.
5.Cooperation with Ukraine
BAMTRI has developed further technical exchange with Paton Electric Welding Institute of Ukraine for many years. Up to now, the cooperation programs of multifunctional EB welding technology, laser holograph NDT technology, Ti alloy and stainless steel A-TIG welding technology have been completed by the two institutes. And many experts from Baton Institute have been invited to BAMTRI for technical reports.
6.Cooperation with USA
(1) Cooperation with UTRC
In 1994, BAMTRI signed a technical cooperation agreement on laser machining technology with UTRC, which was successfully completed in 1997.
(2) Cooperation with Boeing Company
Two delegations of Boeing Company visited BAMTRI in 2005, which made the two sides know more about each other, and laid the foundation for further cooperation. In Nov. 2006, the director of the global cooperative partner department of Boeing Company visited BAMTRI. During the visit the two parties reached an agreement on the cooperation in the field of composite material and fasteners.
